La DMDP amide contre la maladie de Tay-Sachs

   

Une équipe de l’Institut de Chimie des Milieux et Matériaux de Poitiers (CNRS/ Université de Poitiers) a participé à la découverte d’un iminosucre, candidat pharmacologique prometteur pour le traitement de la maladie neurodégénérative de Tay-Sachs. Ces travaux sont publiés à la une de la revue Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry.

Des vaccins contre des agents pathogènes du bioterrorisme

 

 

 

Dans le but de développer des vaccins contre des pathogènes comme les bactéries Burkholderia,répertoriés comme agents potentiels du bioterrorisme de la catégorie B par le CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) aux USA, des chercheurs de l’Institut de chimie des milieux et matériaux de Poitiers (CNRS/Université de Poitiers) en collaboration avec des équipes de recherche américaines, thaïlandaises et italiennes ont identifié de nouvelles cibles prometteuses contre la mélioïdose et la morve, maladies induites par ces bactéries que l’on trouve dans les pays tropicaux. Ces travaux sont parus dans la revue Nature Communications.
